A Very Cool Geocache

Started the day slowly, then met up with Kathryn & John for lunch and a Geocaching adventure. We tackled the abandoned railroad tracks that I had to run from previously. We were able to find 5 caches along the route. But the most fun by far was the "challenge" one at the end of the line. It was a pair of shoes hanging atop an old electrical pole. We could see the cache lid down inside one of the black shoes, so we knew it was the right target. It was so cool.

The only way it seemed you could get it would be to shimmy up the pole. They guys tried throwing some big sticks, but couldn't quite get them high enough. They finally found a very long tree branch near by. With the two of them balancing it, they were able to get the shoes down.

After we all signed the log, they then had to try to get the shoes back up the pole. They tried throwing once more, but the laces came apart every time. They finally went back to the tree branch and were able to replace the shoes on the second try.
